Merchant Discount Rate

What is the Merchant Discount Rate (MDR)?

It is a fee charged by the payment processor for handling card transactions, typically calculated as a percentage of the transaction amount, plus any applicable additional charges.

Are all SME merchants subject to MDR?

Yes. All SME merchants are subject to MDR fees for card transaction processing.

Are there any exemptions where MDR will not be charged?

MDR is not charged if a refund is processed on the same day, before the transaction is settled. For further clarification on exemption scenarios, please email support@revenuemonster.my or contact our support hotline at 016-699 9168 for assistance. Note • Online transactions will still incur charges. • Offline transactions will only be charged after settlement.

Where can I check the total MDR charges applied to my account?

In Merchant Portal, go to Payment → Payout to view your MDR charges and related deductions.
