Revenue Monster has introduced the Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) to support online payments for Malaysia’s e-commerce industry, giving merchants a new way to help customers complete their bigger purchases.
With IPP now live, customers can check out on a merchant’s website with options to split their credit card payment into monthly instalments of 3, 6, 12, 24, or 36 months, across 9 major participating banks. For merchants, this means fewer abandoned carts on high-ticket items and a simpler way to encourage customers to say yes to a purchase they might otherwise delay.
The feature works within a merchant’s existing Revenue Monster setup. There is no need for additional development or integration work to activate IPP as a payment checkout option. Once activated, IPP will appear as a payment option at the checkout page alongside our existing payment methods. This capability is enabled through Revenue Monster’s partnership with Pine Labs Sdn. Bhd.
“For most merchants, price, not product, is what stands between a shopper and a completed sale. IPP gives our merchants a proven way to close the gap, converting hesitant buyers into paying customers, all within the Revenue Monster dashboard they already know, with nothing new to set up or learn,” said Ken Lim, Chief Commercial Officer at Revenue Monster.
Instalment payment options are becoming a standard expectation for online shoppers in Malaysia, particularly for higher-value purchases such as a new smartphone, a laptop, or furniture for a new home, where the ability to pay over time can directly influence a customer’s decision to buy. As a credit card instalment plan for merchants, IPP gives businesses a conversion tool that works alongside, rather than in place of, their existing payment gateway setup.
This launch is aimed particularly at merchants selling higher-value products or services, including retailers, electronics and furniture sellers, and service-based businesses where increasing average order value is a priority.
IPP is available now to eligible Revenue Monster merchants through the merchant dashboard. Businesses interested in enabling the feature can reach out to their Revenue Monster relationship manager or contact our support team directly.
The launch also reflects a broader shift in how Malaysian businesses are approaching online payments. Revenue Monster’s platform currently supports QR, card payments, payment link, digital invoicing, and now IPP, all managed from a single merchant dashboard, reflecting this shift toward centralized payment infrastructure.
